Sophie, l'enfant cachée: French book about hiding Jewish girl

Sophie, l'enfant cachée tells the true story of the Jewish girl Sophie Rechtman-Granos. In 1942, Sophie is 8.5 years old and lives in Brussels. In order to escape deportation by the Nazis, her parents decide to go into hiding in Uccle. In a short time, Sophie's life is completely changed. Where she has been spoiled and laughed in recent years, she now has constant feelings of loneliness and fear. This story tells the history of the anti-Semitism of the Nazis and the courage of ordinary people who helped their Jewish fellow citizens.
