The youth news: Drama lessons
In this lesson preparation, a drama lesson is written in which the students work as a news anchor. Journalists interview and present a news broadcast to the class. After an extensive orientation phase in which your students learn what drama is and observe the news anchor, they get to work on the art of interviewing themselves. They look for a news item that they are going to report on.
They then experiment with camera angles, determining the roles and writing out the newsreel. The news broadcast is then recorded.
