Crime: Roleplay

This activity is a role-playing game where students take on the roles of criminals and police officers. A crime has been committed, and the suspects must create a watertight alibi where their stories must be identical. The remaining students play police officers who interrogate the suspects and look for differences in their stories. After the interrogations, the police officers must determine whether they believe the suspects are guilty or not. The goal is to let the students talk freely in English. New vocabulary related to crimes can be practiced. Past tenses can be repeated.
