Dealing with extremist online messages: Toolkit

The toolkit contains eleven detailed lessons with ready-to-use worksheets. The first lesson provides an introduction to information processing and automatic thinking, while the ten core chapters each address a specific fallacy or cognitive bias that may play a role in processing extremist online messages. Through numerous examples, both from everyday life and from the context of online propaganda and radicalisation, students become aware of their own thinking patterns and learn to think critically about information on social media.
