Sentence structure: Board cards and card game

Sentence structure in Dutch is quite complex material for non-native newcomers. Lars uses board cards in the reception class to visualize the sentence structure during instruction moments and various assignments. The same cards are also used in primary school in regular classes.

With the card game, students can practice sentence construction. The nature of the game ensures that one can think for quite a long time about possible sentence constructions, making it playable for novice language builders. Also during the game there are many opportunities to give feedback and help each other.
